Everyone!  Save the dates!  Juneteenth Celebration of Ventura County (JCVC) is proud to provide an in-person event coming to CA State University - Channel Islands (CSUCI), for a full 3 days this fall from Thursday Nov. 11th through Saturday Nov, 13th.  JCVC and CSUCI are supporting and hosting, "An American Journey," featuring Forgotten Images Traveling Exhibit and Museum.  This event will culminate with an interactive panel discussion with an audience exploring the thoughts, feelings and current implications of the themes depicted in the exhibit.

Forgotten Images coming to Ventura County November 11 through 13, 2021, at California State University Channel Islands, from 10 am to 7 pm. Forgotten Images Traveling Exhibit and Museum provides an authentic and informative journey through the Africa American experience from slavery to now with over 10,000 real artifacts.  The interactive, educational exhibit is guided by the core belief that, "Your past does not determine who you are, your past prepares you for who you are to become."

This fall, for 3 day, Nov 11th - 13th, the community will be able to explore the entire exhibit in person! Knowledgeable docents will be able to answer your questions and provide interesting insights to the plethora of artifacts on display. Mark your calendars! Tell your friends!

We wish to thank Co-Founders Sharon and David McLucas, as well as their daughter, Sheba Gillis for working with JCVC to bring this important exhibit to Ventura County, with special thanks to CSUCI for hosting and for their generous support.
