On behalf of Juneteenth Celebration of Ventura County (JCVC), we wish to thank everyone who participated and for your generous support of our 32nd Annual Juneteenth Celebration. It was a pleasure having you there in person or in spirit. We had a great turnout at our event, very talented musicians, beautiful artwork on display, wonderful historical and cultural presentations. The feedback has been great as well as being a learning experience.

JCVC is passionate about bringing awareness of Juneteenth and its significance in

American history to light. By your partnering, supporting and participating with JCVC, you are helping to foster a more inclusive community. Our multi-cultural communities begin to bond while sharing enjoyment of food, art and music. It becomes a safe place to learn a part of history from the various presenters at our celebration. I look forward to your continued support of JCVC as we plan for the 33rd Annual Juneteenth celebration, on Saturday June 15th, 2024. Please join us again, as our legacy of celebrating freedom pays tribute to our ancestors, to Black history, and to our American history.

The 33rd Annual Juneteenth Celebration

Our Annual Juneteenth Celebration event will be held on Saturday, June 15, 2024,

at the downtown Plaza Park, Oxnard, CA from 10 AM to 5 PM.

This event celebrates the 1865 historical Proclamation of Freedom from slavery in Texas. Vintage attire is welcomed and to celebrate this historic occasion, we are always excited to have The Buffalo Soldier Mounted Cavalry Unit in attendance and showcasing the American Soldiers of that era.
